FRUITS ZIPPER is an idol group that debuted in April 2022 as part of ASOBISYSTEM’s idol project KAWAII LAB.
The group’s concept is ‘from Harajuku to the world,’ and the members transmit what they call ‘NEW KAWAII’ from Harajuku, an area known for fashion and individuality, to the rest of the globe.
The group’s second single, Watashino Ichiban Kawaiitokoro, released in April 2022, attracted incredible attention on TikTok, especially from Gen Z. The song has over 2.6 billion views on the platform, and the music video has been watched over 40 million times.
On September 13, 2023, FRUITS ZIPPER released their 1st single CD, Watashino Ichiban Kawaiitokoro, which debuted at #3 on the Billboard Japan Top Singles Sales chart and #4 on the Oricon Weekly Singles Ranking.
In December 2023, FRUITS ZIPPER won the New Artist of the Year award at the Japan Record Awards.
In May 2024, the group held a solo concert at Nippon Budokan for two days to commemorate its second anniversary, attracting approximately 24,000 people. In fall, FRUITS ZIPPER held its first hall tour, attracting around 40,000 people during 15 shows in 12 cities throughout Japan.
NEW KAWAII won an Excellence Award at the Japan Record Awards in December 2024.
In 2025, the group will celebrate its 3rd anniversary with a solo concert at the World Memorial Hall in Kobe, as well as Saitama Super Arena.
The seven members of FRUITS ZIPPER include Amane Tsukiashi, Karen Matsumoto, Mana Manaka, Yui Sakurai, Noel Hayase, Luna Nakagawa, and Suzuka Chinzei.
