PassCode is a Japanese group known for fusing a powerful band-driven sound with intense screams and high-energy performances. Since their major debut in 2016 under Universal Music, they have appeared at major festivals such as SUMMER SONIC and ROCK IN JAPAN, gaining widespread attention.
In April 2019, PassCode released their second major album, CLARITY, which marked a key milestone in their career, achieving their highest chart positions to date on both Oricon and Billboard JAPAN. The track “Ichika Bachika” was also chosen as the opening theme for the TV drama Kakegurui Season 2 and the film Kakegurui.
In May 2020, the single STARRY SKY, used as the theme song for the nationwide Tokai TV / Fuji TV drama Inseki-Kazoku, debuted at No. 1 on both the Oricon Weekly Single Chart and the Billboard JAPAN Weekly Single Chart—becoming the group’s first No. 1 single.
In 2022, PassCode held their first-ever solo concert at Nippon Budokan.
In 2023, they embarked on their first U.S. tour, performing in Dallas, Los Angeles, and New York, followed by a nationwide Japan tour titled PassCode US/JAPAN TOUR 2023 – GROUNDSWELL –.
In 2024, PassCode transferred to Bandai Namco Music Live. Their new song “WILLSHINE” was selected as the opening theme for Season 2 of the TV anime SHY, while “SKILLAWAKE” was chosen as the opening theme for Season 2 of the TV anime As a Reincarnated Aristocrat, I’ll Use My Appraisal Skill to Rise in the World.
In November 2025, PassCode will hold an arena concert, PassCode YOKOHAMA BUNTAI 2025 “DESTINEX”, marking their first arena performance in approximately three years."
