NEWS

With just 10 days to go until SUMMER SONIC, excitement is building.
As we enter the final stretch, we're receiving new updates and requests from artists every day.
One of the biggest pieces of news is that L'Arc-en-Ciel has announced the release of their first new song in two years, "Sōtennenshoku" (総天然色). Described as a festival-inspired, high-energy rock 'n' roll track, we're all hoping it will make its live debut at SUMMER SONIC.
Jamiroquai has also declared that he won't be playing an 80-minute set—instead, he is planning to perform for well over 100 minutes.
On top of that, several artists have been discussing special collaborations with one another, and it's been inspiring to see everyone embracing the spirit of our 25th anniversary. The excitement continues to grow, and we're determined to make this year's festival truly unforgettable.
At our Tokyo venue, we've consolidated four stages into Halls 1–8 of Makuhari Messe, making it easier to move between stages and reducing scheduling conflicts. Halls 9 and 11 will feature comedy performances, professional wrestling, our 25th Anniversary Museum, a second Kids Area, and additional relaxation spaces. We've also moved the merchandise area indoors to provide a more comfortable shopping experience.
And of course, don't miss our beloved Beach Area. If you enjoy the full summer atmosphere, come during the daytime and soak up the sun. If you prefer to escape the heat and enjoy the sea breeze, we recommend visiting around sunset.
At our Osaka venue, you'll find plenty of shaded areas beneath the park's many trees, perfect for relaxing on the grass. You can also cool off in the nearby shopping mall whenever you need a break from the heat. Taking advantage of the unique setting of Expo '70 Commemorative Park, we've prepared a variety of experiences including BBQ areas, tent areas, traditional tea ceremonies in the Japanese garden, and tours inside the iconic Tower of the Sun.
We've also been gathering valuable insights from teams who have already completed their summer festivals this season, and we're doing everything possible to ensure you're welcomed with the best experience we can provide.
Representing the voices of the more than 4.7 million people who have joined us over the years, we'll be showing memorable moments from SUMMER SONIC's history throughout the festival. As we celebrate this milestone anniversary, my greatest hope is that everyone—our audience, artists, and staff alike—will leave with smiles on their faces.
Finally, as we prepare to hold this year's festival, we would like to express our heartfelt sympathies to everyone affected by the recent Kumamoto earthquake, including all those who suffered losses, their families, and everyone involved.
A portion of the proceeds from SUMMER SONIC will be donated to support recovery and reconstruction efforts in the affected areas.
We sincerely hope that music can continue to bring people together and help expand the circle of support for those impacted by the disaster. Our thoughts remain with everyone affected, and we wish for the fastest possible recovery and rebuilding.
